6 And Jonathan3083 said559 to413 the young man5288 that bore5375 his armor,3627 Come,1980 and let us go over5674 unto413 the garrison4673 of these428 uncircumcised:6189 it may be that194 the LORD3068 will work6213 for us: for3588 there is no369 restraint4622 to the LORD3068 to save3467 by many7227 or176 by few.4592

6 Und Jonathan3083 sprach559 zu4673 seinem Waffenträger5288: Komm3212, laß uns hinübergehen zu6213 dem Lager dieser Unbeschnittenen6189, vielleicht wird der HErr3068 etwas3627 durch5674 uns ausrichten; denn es ist5375 dem HErrn3068 nicht schwer4622, durch viel7227 oder wenig4592 helfen3467.

7 Da antwortete559 ihm sein Waffenträger: Tue6213 alles3627, was in deinem Herzen3824 ist5375; fahre hin5186, siehe, ich bin mit dir, wie dein Herz3824 will.

8 Then said559 Jonathan,3083 Behold,2009 we587 will pass over5674 unto413 these men,376 and we will discover ourselves1540 unto413 them.

9 werden1826 sie dann sagen559: Stehet stille, bis wir an5927 euch gelangen5060, so wollen wir an unserm Ort stehen5975 bleiben und nicht zu ihnen hinaufgehen.

10 But if518 they say559 thus,3541 Come up5927 unto5921 us; then we will go up:5927 for3588 the LORD3068 hath delivered5414 them into our hand:3027 and this2088 shall be a sign226 unto us.

10 Werden sie aber sagen559: Kommt zu uns3027 herauf5927, so wollen wir zu ihnen hinaufsteigen, so hat5927 sie uns der HErr3068 in unsere Hände gegeben5414. Und das soll uns zum Zeichen226 sein.

11 And both8147 of them discovered themselves1540 unto413 the garrison4673 of the Philistines:6430 and the Philistines6430 said,559 Behold,2009 the Hebrews5680 come forth3318 out of4480 the holes2356 where834 8033 they had hid themselves.2244

11 Da sie nun der Philister6430 Lager beide8147 ins Gesicht kamen1540, sprachen559 die Philister6430: Siehe, die Ebräer sind aus3318 den Löchern2356 gegangen, darin sie sich2244 verkrochen hatten.

12 And the men376 of the garrison4675 answered6030 853 Jonathan3083 and his armorbearer,3627 5375 and said,559 Come up5927 to413 us, and we will show3045 you a thing.1697 And Jonathan3083 said559 unto413 his armorbearer,3627 5375 Come up5927 after310 me: for3588 the LORD3068 hath delivered5414 them into the hand3027 of Israel.3478

12 Und die Männer im Lager antworteten6030 Jonathan3129 und seinem Waffenträger5375 und sprachen559: Kommt herauf5927 zu uns, so wollen wir582‘s euch3627 wohl lehren. 13 And Jonathan3083 climbed up5927 upon5921 his hands3027 and upon5921 his feet,7272 and his armorbearer3627 5375 after310 him: and they fell5307 before6440 Jonathan;3083 and his armorbearer3627 5375 slew4191 after310 him.

15 And there was1961 trembling2731 in the host,4264 in the field,7704 and among all3605 the people:5971 the garrison,4673 and the spoilers,7843 they1992 also1571 trembled,2729 and the earth776 quaked:7264 so it was1961 a very great430 trembling.2731

16 And the watchmen6822 of Saul7586 in Gibeah1390 of Benjamin1144 looked;7200 and, behold,2009 the multitude1995 melted away,4127 and they went1980 on beating down1986 one another.

17 Then said559 Saul7586 unto the people5971 that834 were with854 him, Number6485 now,4994 and see7200 who4310 is gone1980 from4480 5973 us. And when they had numbered,6485 behold,2009 Jonathan3083 and his armorbearer3627 5375 were not369 there.

20 And Saul7586 and all3605 the people5971 that834 were with854 him assembled themselves,2199 and they came935 to5704 the battle:4421 and, behold,2009 every man's376 sword2719 was1961 against his fellow,7453 and there was a very3966 great1419 discomfiture.4103

21 Moreover the Hebrews5680 that were1961 with the Philistines6430 before865 that time,8032 which834 went up5927 with5973 them into the camp4264 from the country round about,5439 even they1992 also1571 turned to be1961 with5973 the Israelites3478 that834 were with5973 Saul7586 and Jonathan.3083

21 Auch die Ebräer, die vorhin bei den Philistern gewesen waren und6430 mit ihnen im Lager4264 hinaufgezogen waren umher5439, taten sich5927 zu Israel3478, die mit Saul7586 und Jonathan3129 waren.

22 Likewise all3605 the men376 of Israel3478 which had hid themselves2244 in mount2022 Ephraim,669 when they heard8085 that3588 the Philistines6430 fled,5127 even they1992 also1571 followed hard1692 after310 them in the battle.4421

23 So the LORD3068 saved3467 853 Israel3478 that1931 day:3117 and the battle4421 passed over5674 unto853 Beth-aven.1007

23 Also half3467 der HErr3068 zu der Zeit3117 Israel3478. Und der Streit4421 währete bis5674 gen Beth-Aven1007.
|
|
24 And the men376 of Israel3478 were distressed5065 that1931 day:3117 for Saul7586 had adjured422 853 the people,5971 saying,559 Cursed779 be the man376 that834 eateth398 any food3899 until5704 evening,6153 that I may be avenged5358 on mine enemies.4480 341 So none3808 3605 of the people5971 tasted2938 any food.3899

24 Und376 da die Männer Israels3478 matt waren5065 desselben Tages3117, beschwor422 Saul7586 das Volk5971 und376 sprach559: Verflucht779 sei jedermann, wer etwas3899 isset bis zu Abend6153, daß ich mich an meinen Feinden341 räche5358! Da aß398 das ganze Volk5971 nichts.

25 And all3605 they of the land776 came935 to a wood;3293 and there was1961 honey1706 upon5921 6440 the ground.7704

25 Und das ganze Land776 kam935 in6440 den Wald3293. Es war aber Honig1706 im Felde7704.

|
26 And when the people5971 were come935 into413 the wood,3293 behold,2009 the honey1706 dropped;1982 but no369 man put5381 his hand3027 to413 his mouth:6310 for3588 the people5971 feared3372 853 the oath.7621

26 Und da das Volk5971 hineinkam in den Wald3293, siehe, da floß der Honig1706. Aber niemand tat935 desselben mit der Hand3027 zu seinem Munde6310; denn das Volk5971 fürchtete3372 sich vor dem Eide7621.

27 But Jonathan3083 heard8085 not3808 when his father1 charged the people with the oath:7650 853 5971 wherefore he put forth7971 853 the end7097 of the rod4294 that834 was in his hand,3027 and dipped2881 it853 in a honeycomb,3295 1706 and put7725 his hand3027 to413 his mouth;6310 and his eyes5869 were enlightened.215

27 Jonathan3129 aber hatte7650 nicht gehöret, daß sein7725 Vater1 das Volk5971 beschworen hatte7650, und reckte7971 seinen Stab4294 aus, den er in seiner Hand3027 hatte, und tunkte mit7097 der Spitze in den Honigseim und wandte seine Hand3027 zu8085 seinem Munde6310; da wurden seine Augen5869 wacker215.

28 Then answered6030 one376 of the people,4480 5971 and said,559 Thy father1 straitly charged the people with an oath,7650 7650 853 5971 saying,559 Cursed779 be the man376 that834 eateth398 any food3899 this day.3117 And the people5971 were faint.5888

29 Then said559 Jonathan,3083 My father1 hath troubled5916 853 the land:776 see,7200 I pray you,4994 how3588 mine eyes5869 have been enlightened,215 because3588 I tasted2938 a little4592 of this2088 honey.1706

29 Da sprach559 Jonathan3129: Mein Vater1 hat das Land776 geirret; sehet, wie wacker215 sind meine Augen5869 worden, daß ich ein wenig4592 dieses Honigs1706 gekostet habe7200.

30 How much more,637 3588 if haply3588 3863 the people5971 had eaten freely398 398 today3117 of the spoil4480 7998 of their enemies341 which834 they found?4672 for3588 had there not3808 been now6258 a much greater7235 slaughter4347 among the Philistines?6430
|
30 Weil aber3863 das Volk5971 heute3117 nicht hat398 müssen essen398 von der Beute7998 seiner Feinde341, die es funden hat4672, so hat auch637 nun die Schlacht4347 nicht größer werden können7235 wider die Philister6430.
|
|
31 And they smote5221 the Philistines6430 that1931 day3117 from Michmash4480 4363 to Aijalon:357 and the people5971 were very3966 faint.5888

31 Sie schlugen5221 aber die Philister6430 des Tages3117 von Michmas4363 bis gen Ajalon357. Und5774 das Volk5971 ward sehr3966 matt.
|
|
32 And the people5971 flew6213 upon413 the spoil,7998 and took3947 sheep,6629 and oxen,1241 and calves,1121 1241 and slew7819 them on the ground:776 and the people5971 did eat398 them with5921 the blood.1818

33 Da3117 verkündigte man559 Saul7586: Siehe, das Volk5971 versündiget sich2398 an dem398 HErrn3068, daß es Blut1818 isset. Er sprach559: Ihr habt übel getan898; wälzet her1556 zu mir5046 jetzt einen großen1419 Stein68.

34 And Saul7586 said,559 Disperse yourselves6327 among the people,5971 and say559 unto them, Bring me hither5066 413 every man376 his ox,7794 and every man376 his sheep,7716 and slay7819 them here,2088 and eat;398 and sin2398 not3808 against the LORD3068 in eating398 with413 the blood.1818 And all3605 the people5971 brought5066 every man376 his ox7794 with3027 him that night,3915 and slew7819 them there.8033

34 Und559 Saul7586 sprach559 weiter: Zerstreuet euch6327 unter das Volk5971 und saget ihnen, daß ein376 jeglicher seinen Ochsen7794 und seine Schafe7716 zu mir bringe5066; und schlachtet7819 es allhie, daß ihr‘s esset398 und euch2398 nicht versündiget an dem HErrn3068 mit dem Blut1818 essen398. Da brachte alles Volk5971 ein jeglicher seinen Ochsen7794 mit seiner Hand3027 herzu5066 des Nachts3915 und schlachteten7819 es daselbst.

35 And Saul7586 built1129 an altar4196 unto the LORD:3068 the same was the first2490 altar4196 that he built1129 unto the LORD.3068

35 Und1129 Saul7586 bauete dem HErrn3068 einen Altar4196. Das ist der erste2490 Altar4196, den er1129 dem HErrn3068 bauete.
|
|
36 And Saul7586 said,559 Let us go down3381 after310 the Philistines6430 by night,3915 and spoil962 them until5704 the morning1242 light,216 and let us not3808 leave7604 a man376 of them. And they said,559 Do6213 whatsoever3605 seemeth5869 good2896 unto thee. Then said559 the priest,3548 Let us draw near7126 hither1988 unto413 God.430

36 Und6430 Saul7586 sprach559: Laßt uns hinabziehen3381 den Philistern nach310 bei der Nacht3915 und3548 sie559 berauben962, bis daß licht216 Morgen1242 wird, daß wir niemand376 von ihnen5869 überlassen. Sie antworteten: Tue6213 alles, was dir gefällt2896. Aber der Priester sprach559: Laßt uns hieher zu GOtt430 nahen7126!

37 And Saul7586 asked counsel7592 of God,430 Shall I go down3381 after310 the Philistines?6430 wilt thou deliver5414 them into the hand3027 of Israel?3478 But he answered6030 him not3808 that1931 day.3117

37 Und6430 Saul7586 fragte7592 GOtt430: Soll ich hinabziehen3381, den Philistern nach310? und willst du sie geben5414 in Israels3478 Hände3027? Aber er antwortete6030 ihm zu der Zeit3117 nicht.

38 And Saul7586 said,559 Draw ye near5066 hither,1988 all3605 the chief6438 of the people:5971 and know3045 and see7200 wherein4100 this sin2403 hath been1961 this2063 day.3117
|
38 Da sprach559 Saul7586: Laßt herzutreten5066 alle Haufen es Volks5971, und erfahret3045 und sehet, an7200 welchem4100 die Sünde2403 sei zu dieser Zeit3117;

39 For,3588 as the LORD3068 liveth,2416 which saveth3467 853 Israel,3478 though3588 518 it be3426 in Jonathan3083 my son,1121 he shall surely die.4191 4191 But there was not a man369 among all4480 3605 the people5971 that answered6030 him.
|
39 denn so wahr der HErr3068 lebet, der Heiland3467 Israels3478, und ob sie gleich an meinem Sohn1121 Jonathan3129 wäre3426, so soll4191 er2416 sterben4191. Und niemand antwortete6030 ihm aus dem ganzen Volk5971.

|
40 Then said559 he unto413 all3605 Israel,3478 Be1961 ye859 on one259 side,5676 and I589 and Jonathan3083 my son1121 will be1961 on the other259 side.5676 And the people5971 said559 unto413 Saul,7586 Do6213 what seemeth5869 good2896 unto thee.

40 Und er sprach559 zu dem259 ganzen Israel3478: Seid ihr auf jener259 Seite5676; ich und mein Sohn1121 Jonathan3129 wollen sein auf dieser Seite5676. Das Volk5971 sprach559 zu Saul7586: Tue6213, was2896 dir gefällt5869.

41 Therefore Saul7586 said559 unto413 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 Give3051 a perfect8549 lot. And Saul7586 and Jonathan3083 were taken:3920 but the people5971 escaped.3318

41 Und Saul7586 sprach559 zu dem HErrn3068, dem GOtt430 Israels3478: Schaffe3051 Recht8549! Da3920 ward Jonathan3129 und Saul7586 getroffen; aber das Volk5971 ging frei aus3318.

42 And Saul7586 said,559 Cast5307 lots between996 me and Jonathan3083 my son.1121 And Jonathan3083 was taken.3920
|
42 Saul7586 sprach559: Werfet über mich und meinen Sohn1121 Jonathan3129. Da3920 ward Jonathan3129 getroffen.
|
|
43 Then Saul7586 said559 to413 Jonathan,3083 Tell5046 me what4100 thou hast done.6213 And Jonathan3083 told5046 him, and said,559 I did but taste2938 2938 a little4592 honey1706 with the end7097 of the rod4294 that834 was in mine hand,3027 and, lo,2009 I must die.4191

43 Und Saul7586 sprach559 zu Jonathan3129: Sage mir5046, was hast du getan? Jonathan3129 sagte5046 es ihm und sprach559: Ich habe2938 ein wenig4592 Honigs1706 gekostet mit7097 dem Stabe4294, den ich in meiner Hand3027 hatte6213; und siehe2009, ich muß darum sterben4191.

44 And Saul7586 answered,559 God430 do6213 so3541 and more3254 also:3541 for3588 thou shalt surely die,4191 4191 Jonathan.3083

44 Da sprach559 Saul7586: GOtt430 tue6213 mir dies und das3254, Jonathan3129, du mußt des Todes4191 sterben4191.
|
|
45 And the people5971 said559 unto413 Saul,7586 Shall Jonathan3083 die,4191 who834 hath wrought6213 this2063 great1419 salvation3444 in Israel?3478 God forbid:2486 as the LORD3068 liveth,2416 there shall not518 one hair4480 8185 of his head7218 fall5307 to the ground;776 for3588 he hath wrought6213 with5973 God430 this2088 day.3117 So the people5971 rescued6299 853 Jonathan,3083 that he died4191 not.3808

45 Aber das Volk5971 sprach559 zu Saul7586: Sollte Jonathan3129 sterben4191, der ein solch groß1419 Heil3444 in Israel3478 getan6213 hat? Das sei ferne2486! So wahr der HErr3068 lebet, es soll kein Haar8185 von seinem Haupt7218 auf die Erde776 fallen5307; denn GOtt430 hat‘s heute3117 durch ihn getan6213. Also erlösete das Volk5971 Jonathan3129, daß er2416 nicht6299 sterben4191 mußte.

46 Then Saul7586 went up5927 from following4480 310 the Philistines:6430 and the Philistines6430 went1980 to their own place.4725

46 Da310 zog5927 Saul7586 herauf von den Philistern, und6430 die Philister6430 zogen1980 an ihren Ort4725.
|
|
47 So Saul7586 took3920 the kingdom4410 over5921 Israel,3478 and fought3898 against all3605 his enemies341 on every side,5439 against Moab,4124 and against the children1121 of Ammon,5983 and against Edom,123 and against the kings4428 of Zobah,6678 and against the Philistines:6430 and whithersoever3605 834 he turned6437 himself, he vexed7561 them.

47 Aber da3920 Saul7586 das Reich4410 über Israel3478 eingenommen hatte, stritt3898 er wider alle seine Feinde341 umher5439: wider die Moabiter4124, wider die Kinder1121 Ammon5983, wider die Edomiter123, wider die Könige4428 Zobas6678, wider die Philister6430; und wo er sich6437 hinwandte, da übte er Strafe7561.
